About the Farm
At Cactus Farms, we run a flock of 50 commercial Suffolk ewes outside of Olds, AB. We are proud to raise and sell delicious lamb year-round, direct to customers.

In August 2020, 15 ewe lambs were dropped off at the farm and then began our shepherding journey. We found a ram that fall, and started our breeding program. 4 years later, with a lot of knowledge gained from friends and fellow sheep farmers, we now have 50 ewes, lambing in early spring and are looking to add another lambing to our program. The sheep industry, and community built around it, is nothing short of amazing. Our lamb is featured in
Cacio e Pepe, a local restaurant in Olds. We have begun to build a great customer base and are very excited to see what the future holds for Cactus Farms!
